18-GOLF COURSE

Built: 1930’s

Description: A picturesque course located in the Sourland Mountains, with breathtaking views of the Amwell Valley.  A shorter course that requires accuracy off the tee and the ability to handle sidehill lies in the fairways.  Small, undulating greens that will test the putting skills of amateurs and pros alike.

Signature Hole: #11.  A 155 yard, downhill par 3, with a beautiful view of the Amwell Valley, plays to a small green protected by a water hazard in the front.

Comments: Fun, enjoyable and challenging...well maintained with greens that are particularly well kept and very difficult.

Directions:  Distance from Manhattan approximately 55 miles.
Holland Tunnel to Rte 78 West to Rte. 287 South to Somerville, Exit 206 South.  Proceed approx. 5 1/2 miles to Rte. 514 (Amwell Rd.) and go right.  Continue approx. 4 1/2 miles to a 3 way stop at stone church.  Go straight, 2nd left is Wertsville Rd, follow to stop sign, turn left, make 1st right to continue on Wertsville Rd. and continue 2 miles to club on right.
