18-HOLE COURSE

Built: 1961   
Architect: Hal Purdy

Description: Each hole is named after a tree found on the course.  It is fairly flat, with water on nine  holes.  The tight tree-lined fairways and small well bunkered greens make it a challenging course.  The middle six holes #7 thru #12 are the most challenging...some doglegs, some blind shots and some lay-up holes make them most interesting. 

Comments: a really nice golf course...open and easy for beginners and high handicappers, yet it can prove challenging for the better player as well...makes for a wonderful golf experience.

Directions:  Distance from Manhattan approximately 40 miles.
Lincoln Tunnel to NJ Tpke. (south) to Exit 9, Rte. 18 (north).  Cross the Raritan River and turn left onto River Rd.  Go to 2nd traffic light and turn right onto Hoes Lane, follow 1/2 mile to course.
