Description: Christopher Morely is a great track to take someone who is just learning the game.  Most of the smallish greens are accessible, but there are some greenside bunkers that can make for at least a couple interesting approaches.  The par-4's -- of which there are three -- are all very easy, and feature a bit of rolling terrain (especially No. 7, with a blind, uphill tee shot). 

Overall, it's a fun course that's wonderful for beginners and also great for those intermediate golfers who just want to improve their short game.  And for note: Because it does attract many who are just learning, playing times can get very slow.  You're rarely the only one out there.

Reader Comments: A great place to learn the game ... An easy walk, which is nice for someone older ... Although the pace of play is slow, the course and trees are nice enough that you can relax and enjoy yourself.

Directions: Distance from Manhattan approximately 21 miles.
LIE (east) to Exit 37, at light go left on Searingtown Rd.  The park runs along the north side of the expressway, the entrance is just 1/4 north of the highway.
