Description: Dunwoodie is a short course, but can at times be challenging.  It is characterized by dramatic topography and steep slopes, as well as some tree-lined holes and some open holes.  The piece of property is pretty undulating, resulting in some interesting-looking, yet straightforward holes.

The greens are average sized, and protected in places by some strategically placed bunkers. From a handful of fairways and greens you’ll find views of the Manhattan skyline and the Palisades, which makes for an enjoyable go-around.

Signature Hole: No. 4, 392-yard Par 4.  The toughest hole on the course, this is a long par-4 for the track that has trouble on either side of fairway.  The hole plays uphill to a elevated green that is protected by a large, deep bunker in front.


Reader Comments: Always well maintained.  Fun and challenging for the average golfer ... I always find a way to make it a good golf outing.

Directions: Distance from Manhattan approximately 15 miles.
Henry Hudson Pkwy. (north) to the Sawmill River Pkwy. to Exit 5 (Yonkers Ave.).  Go left onto Yonkers Ave. to 1st light, Wasy Lenko Lane, and make another left and follow directly to course.
