Description: Kissena is considered by some to be their favorite of all the Queens courses, not so much for its difficulity as for its playability.  Because it's a short, less-than-championship length course, some disregard it as easy, which it is not. 

Built on moderately hilly land, the par-4s often have pretty tight fairways that lead to small, elevated, and somewhat-undulating greens.  Some holes are easy, and other are tough -- no matter your handicap.  It's really a terrific course for beginners and a nice test of skill for intermediate golfers.    

Signature Hole: No 9, 184-yard Par 3.  As anyone who has played here will tell you, No. 9 plays longer than the yardage on the card.  It’s all uphill to an elevated green, that's very shallow and tough to hold.  A real test on a course that is deceivingly tricky.

Reader Comments: The new management team has brought this facility back to life and improved course conditions dramatically ... It’s in the best shape it has been in years ... My favorite city course ... It's just a relief to play 18 holes in under four hours.

LIE (east) to Exit 24 (Kissena Blvd.), stay on service road to 164th St. (go left) to Booth Memorial Ave. (go right) 2 blocks to course.
