Description: This is a quiant, regulation 9-hole course, with a nice setting near the water.  It can be a challenging test for the intermediate golfer, with water coming into play on the first four holes.  There are some rolling fairways, a number of doglegs, and small, elevated, somewhat-well-bunkered greens.  With not many trees and the proximity to the water, wind is always a factor.

Reader Comments: A great place to learn ... The setting is terrific ... Some of these holes are actually pretty tough ... The wind is always blowing.

Directions: Distance from Manhattan approximately 32 miles.
Take LIE (east) to Exit 38 - follow signs to Jones Beach and Meadowbrook Pkwy.  Meadowbrook Pkwy. (south) to exit M-9,  Merrick Rd. (east).  At 1st light, go right, into park.
