9-HOLE COURSE

Built: mid-1890’s
Description: Although this is a short course it is exceptionally challenging.  It’s very hilly, with tight tree-lined fairways and 7 holes offering tricky, blind shots. 

Comments: Picturesque and great fun, with terrific views of the island, Peconic Bay and Gardiner’s Bay.

Directions: Distance from Manhattan approximately 106 miles. 
LIE (east) to exit 70, go right (south) to Rte 27 (east).  Follow signs into the village of Bridgehampton.  At first traffic light, Bridgehampton Tpke. (go left) and follow into and thru Village of Sag Harbor, to Rte. 114 (go left), follow signs to Shelter Island Ferry.  Once on the island, continue to follow Rte. 114 (north) for approximately 5 miles.  When you pass a Mobil Station on your left the road forks, Rte 114 bears right, you will continue straight and up the hill to end.  Go left, and follow signs to course.
